These air Pumps are really serious pieces.  They are among the best air pumps available.  The metal bodies are very strong and can withstand all kinds of outdoor weather.  They will last for years.  I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a reliable air pump.  They can be the difference between life and death if your main water pump shuts down.  Keeping a good amount of oxygen in your ponds water is very important all year round.  These pumps generate a lot of air, creating a nice “boil” on the ponds surface.  It is possible however that the air bladders inside these pumps may dry rot over time,  (A few years).  At which time the pump will run, but not push out much air.  Replacing the bladders is easy, and they are readily available as these pumps are very popular.  After replacing the bladder, they are good as new, and ready for several more years of use.  

     The pumps come with a rubber connector and two clamps.  One end of the rubber connector attaches to the outlet of the air pump, the other end is perfect for sliding in the 3/8″ ID weighted air hose.  Other manifolds may be used as well, and purchased separately.  The combination of air pump, weighted hose and air stones shown on this page all fit together without the need of any other parts or adaptors.
