Waterfalls, Streams, And A Natural Pond
In the beginning, there was a natural pond that had very little going for it. It was just a pond on the side of this beautiful property. Our first step was to make the front of the pond more accessible. There was a big hill that dropped steeply into the water. We also then wanted to create an area to sit, relax and enjoy the pond. So this is what happened.
After that project, we built a waterfall and small pond closer to the house, that appeared to have a stream that flowed all the way back down to the main natural pond. The waterfall is actually separate from the stream. The waterfall is on a separate pump and UV sterilizer, and acts as its own entity. The long stream is run by another pump that pulls water out of the natural pond, pumps it to the top of the stream, then it flows all the way back to the natural pond. A low bridge is used to cross the stream.
The next year brought a continuation of the wall and patio down by the natural pond. Extending it to cover the entire side of the pond. The project also included a large waterfall in the front yard that wanders about 100 feet down to the big pond on the opposite side as the other stream. The waterfall is awesome, and is visible from the front of the house as well as the driveway as you drive in and out.
