Blue Wave Pool Leaf Net Covers
These nets are built for pools, but they are by far my favorite nets to cover ponds. Especially in the fall to keep the leaves out! The holes are very small are nothing gets through it. They keep the pond perfectly clean. They are heavy enough to withstand the weight of the leaves, and normal wear, but they are not that heavy that they are very unsightly, and they do allow light to pass through with no problem. They are actually priced cheaper than most “pond” nets, and I have used these as much as possible. Any time one of my clients needs a new net, this is what I order for them.
I do however use different nets in the summer if we just need to deter a heron. You can use this too, but I like a cheap thin net that’s not very visible to cover the pond in that situation, but for the fall, these are great.
They are available in many different sizes and either round, square or oval.
This is a cheap and easy net to cover your pond with. Can be good to keep herons from eating your fish. Very thin, and not very visible. It’s OK for the fall, better than nothing, but I would rather use the pool leaf net cover (shown above) in the fall to keep the pond clean. Otherwise if you need a thin protective cover for the spring or summer, this is a good commonly used net.
This is another basic, simple net that’s also easy to install. Not as “plastic” as the net to the left, but similar in use. Overall, a good net for protection and good for leaves. It’s not very visible, you can’t even tell that it’s over your pond until you get closer to it. It is available in different sizes.
